Karoll Knowledge
Karoll Knowledge Foundation was established with a personal donation from Stanimir Karolev as a non-profit organization supporting young Bulgarian scientists and academic entrepreneurship. The foundation provides funding and mentorship for innovative research projects with practical application, fostering the development of an innovation-driven economy in Bulgaria.
Among the foundation’s key initiatives are the “Entrepreneurs in Science” program and the PhD Scholarship, which annually recognize and support young researchers with ambitions to bring their ideas to fruition. Through these programs and other projects, the foundation actively contributes to building an ecosystem for scientific innovation and entrepreneurship.
The foundation has been recognized for its significant contribution to philanthropy and corporate social responsibility in Bulgaria. In 2021, founder Stanimir Karolev received an award from the Bulgarian Donors Forum for his contribution to philanthropy, highlighting the foundation’s commitment to sustainable development of Bulgaria’s scientific and entrepreneurial environment.

Education Investments
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Karoll’s establishment, we launched the Karoll Corporate University. Over the years, knowledge management has become a core part of our corporate culture. Through trainings, open classes, lectures, seminars, webinars, and internship programs, we actively share expertise with the investment community and broader society. In line with this educational focus, we also provide a PhD scholarship supporting both business and non-business studies.
